Stepping into Therendry, you would find this information fairly easily and common knowledge.

Duke Kendrick Pinetree

The son of Ellis Pinetree, Kendrick is a warrior-Duke intent on stopping an enemy from his time in the far future. He came to the Duchy of Therendry April 15th, 611 through temporal magic and was allowed a short time to speak with Ellis on the changes that needed to be made to ensure Therendry's survival. In an act of pure love and sacrifice, Ellis took Kendrick's place in the timestream and left his eldest son here to rule and live a long life. Little is known of the time our Duke comes from, but it is most surely a time of great strife and conflict.

War with House D'Genovia - Stewards of Richland County

August 6th, 611 - A contingent of D'Genovia forces marched on the capital of Theren City and declared the new Duke, Kendrick Pinetree, an oath breaker and called in the debts of his predecessor and father, Duke Ellis Pinetree. They were repelled and some were taken captive but the D'Genovians' true intentions shown through when later that evening a larger force attacked the city in an attempt to free their fallen comrades. The citizens thwarted this attack as well and took another prisoner, Dante D'Genovia, son of the Count, Cosimo D'Genovia. Cosimo hasn't been seen for some time in the public and was thought sick or dead by many in the Therendry peerage. The D'Genovians escaped their imprisonment only to be captured again by a brave, small, band of adventurers in Dalken before they crossed the county line. The D'Genovians counter attacked with brutal precision and ferocity when they decimated the town of Twin Rivers, final resting place of the vampire, Glas. Their naval assault on the county capital of Slateron in Norland was haulted by a small group of sorcerers and witches through "experimental" magic. The war rages on...

The Order of the Emerald Gate

The Order, or "My 12" as referred to by his Grace, is a court of Ducal Knights hand picked by Kendrick himself to provide liaison between major cities and the capital. Each one of the Order is empowered by an unknown magic and their skills have been present during many dire circumstances. The Order is not an organization but rather a calling and those that swear the oath do so for life. They are all men, elves and humans, and most are handy with a bow who call upon the earth for strength, but some have been known to dabble in the elemental arts. The "Emerald Gate" as they call it, is an omnipotent force for good that they believe watches over and empowers them to carry out the will of Kendrick Pinetree.

The Great Towers of Therendry

A massive building project in 4 major cities in the duchy, the Great Towers were ordered by Kendrick almost immediately following his arrival to our time. They represent the many things that Ellis Pinetree embodied and are a symbol for all citizens of Therendry to look upon for strength. They are currently under construction in Goldhaven, Slateron, Exeter, and Theren City.
